Sometimes we have to take a rest from ourselves and the narrow roads that we can create, and might even be created by others around us. We can get caught in narrow thinking which can result in anger and hopelessness when we don’t feel heard or seen. We narrow ourselves for protection and even comfort sometimes. Shabbat and shalom is about stopping and finding wholeness in a very deep part of our beings. Of letting go and finding an expanse that holds freedom and more inspired direction than restriction.
